Things To Do In Cozumel
Cozumel is world renowned for its underwater adventures. Since the day Jacque Cousteau first put Cozumel on the map for its beautiful coral reefs, tourism in Cozumel has skyrocketed due to the sights within the Caribbean sea, as well as the variety of activities to do on land. Below are just a small sample of some of the amazing things you can do when visiting Cozumel.
- Scuba Diving
Scuba diving is a must do in Cozumel. It is the main reason that Cozumel is such a popular tourist attraction. Scuba diving can be done at such locations as the Villa Blanca Wall, Paradise Reef, San Francisco Reef, Santa Rosa Wall, Tormentos Reef and a variety of equally unique, equally beautiful locations. It is also a good idea to consider visiting Papa Hog’s Scuba Emporium and hook up with Scuba Du for some great dives. - Golf
No island in Mexico is without its beautiful golf course, and Cozumel is no different. The Cozumel Country Club is the best golfing location on Cozumel, with prices that are affordable. If you golf, it is an experience you will always remember, and if you don’t golf – consider visiting anyway and simply throwing the ball down the course. It’s that good. - Attractions
There are several sites worth visiting in Cozumel. “Discover Mexico” is a new and exciting theme part designed to promote Mexican culture. The Punta Sur Light House is always an interesting place to visit. But if you can do nothing else, visit Chankanaab Park – One of the only places in the world that you can swim with dolphins. - Food/Dining/Drinks
Of course, no vacation to Mexico is complete without enjoying some of the Cozumel dining areas. Nachi-Cocom has some delicious Cozumel food. La Cocay combines great food with excellent service. The Rock 'n Java Caribbean Café has a tremendous menu that is both delicious and a great tourist attraction. El Pique, La Conchita del Caribe and Tiki Tok are all also great places to visit should you find yourself hungry. - Beaches
Sometimes on vacation all you want to do is sit back, check out beautiful people, and wear swim clothes you’d be too embarrassed to try on back home. Cozumel has a number of beaches, such as the Playa Palancar, Playa Bonita, Playa Xhanan, Playa Chen Rio, and Playa Los Cocos. Each of these beaches is a place to unwind, enjoy the hot island weather, and let the stress of your real life slip away.
So Much to Do, So Little Time
